Trust no one! – A Renaissance Plot in the City of Kolding

Objective

The goal of the project was to create a mixture of a historical tour and a dramatic detective story where the user himself is the detective.

Activities

The project developed a digital renaissance thriller. VIFIN participated in the project with know-how on mobile media, Augmented Reality technology and Web 2.0 services.

The digital tour takes the user to historic locations in Kolding that via the mobile phone and Augmented Reality contain traces of the characters in the thriller, sources of the renaissance, references to interesting and relevant literature, enigmatic information etc.

The project was launched in late 2011 and ran until May 2012 where the final result was tested by children, families, etc.

Partnership

The “Digi-Thriller” was developed by Kolding Libraries in cooperation with Kolding City Archives, VIFIN, University of Copenhagen, and VIA University College.
