ARTEM
Objective
The ARTEM project develops an innovative training program that aims to strengthen intercultural competencies among professionals or volunteers working with refugees / immigrants and to strengthen competences among refugees / immigrants, so that they can be better included in their new communities.
The training is developed from a holistic perspective, and places emphasis on 'making with' and not 'making for' the target group. Therefore, a method in which refugees / immigrants and local volunteers can exchange voluntary services and competencies is incorporated. Furthermore, refugees / immigrants are taught to use digital maps in their storytelling.
Activities
The project develops intercultural education for both migrants and professionals / volunteers and training in digital storytelling for migrants. The migrants will learn how to present their background and history so that their experiences, skills and knowledge are highlighted as resources. The training course will be tested through a transnational training course for both target groups during the project.
Subsequently, an online platform will be developed to support exchanges between the local population and the immigrants, in a sort of "time bank".
