ARTinLAN
Objective
ArtinLan (A Global Virtual Village for Languages & Art) will develop a learning method that incorporates art in the foreign language lessons in the youngest grades in primary school.
By creating an international teacher network to exchange experiences, and inspire to try art activities in the classroom, ARTinLAN aims to capture young students' motivation for learning foreign languages through artistic activities such as dance, music, paint, theater, etc.
Activities
The project will:
- Identify language skills that can be particularly challenging to teach students in foreign language teaching in the youngest grades, and develop learning activities that include a specific art form e.g. dance, theater or music to learn these language skills.
- Develop the online platform "The Global Virtual Village", which will serve as a platform for:
- Teachers who can share their experience in implementing the ARTinLAN activities in their own classes.
- Students who can share their end products from the ARTinLAN activities. There will be an exhibition of the finished products on the portal.
- Describe the ARTinLAN methodology and good practice
