Research & Evaluation

VIFIN offers to design and conduct evaluations and studies for institutions and departments in Vejle. We also offer sparring and quality assurance in relation to evaluations and studies that organisations wish to conduct on their own.

We can help with:

• Evaluations of projects or new / special initiatives. The evaluation can focus on the learning and development aspects or on documentation of whether the project / initiative has achieved its goals - or both. The evaluation can take place as an end evaluation; alternatively, we can be involved during the implementation of the project, so there will be an ongoing collection of knowledge and experience. In that way, we can help adjust the project / initiative during the implementation.
• Studies of needs, attitudes, desires, behavior, satisfaction, etc. among users, employees or other target groups. For instance feasibility studies in connection with the launching of initiatives or projects where there’s a need for knowledge about the current situation in order to develop the appropriate activities or to have a 'baseline' for a later impact measurement.
• Sparring and quality assurance to evaluations and studies that organisations wish to conduct on their own – in relation to evaluation or study design, methodology, question formulations, technical assistance for electronic distribution of questionnaires etc.
• Design of evaluation / study in connection with project applications and development, strategic plans, etc.

VIFIN has conducted several evaluations and studies, in particular in the fields of integration and primary education, but also in other contexts. In addition, we have instigated or - as part of our own projects - carried out a number of studies.

Our evaluators have solid skills in the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods, based on relevant education and many years of experience in conducting evaluations and studies.

We find it important to disseminate the results of an evaluation or study in a user-oriented way; for instance, the dissemination may include recommendations to further work with the project / initiative, an “easy read” report with the evaluation’s main points, presentations, etc.
