Youth Fight for Democracy

Objective

The project aimed at engaging vulnerable young people and minorities in issues of democracy and active participation in society.

Activities

In Denmark, activities were targeted at young people in Vejle. A total of 30 young people produced works of art, films and participated in Forum Theatre.

Both art and film productions were shown to a wider audience, so the youngsters were allowed to experience themselves as an active part of society. The youngsters had the opportunity to express their views - both positive and negative - on everyday life, their neighborhood, school, and leisure activities, to the public.

In November 2012, young people from the partner countries met for a six-day workshop in Cyprus. They produced a film which shows the results of the project.

Partnership

The project was implemented in a partnership between organizations in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Lithuania and Poland.

Funding

The project was funded by the EU Youth in Action Programme.
