ProjectsOngoing ProjectsTOGETHER for Human Rights More than ever, human rights issues are relevant in Europe today, whether the focus is on refugees, ethnic minorities or anti-discrimination. TOGETHER for Human Rights project builds on the experiences of the countries of Europe, including previous dictator states and communist regimes in the promotion of human rights awareness in Europe. While the Cold war and civil wars have left the countries with different starting points, experiences and knowledge, there is no fundamental frame of reference on how to use existing knowledge on the area. The project will therefore endeavour to collect and compare the different approaches of Human Rights Education in partner countries. Such an inventory will facilitate transfer of methods and contents of teaching among countries, and consequently create a strategy to implement broader and more complete methods of human rights education. The final product will be developed based on the relevant perspectives of knowledge and education in each partner country. Likewise, a 10-point catalogue for successful human rights education in Europe will be developed. The project is funded by the EU Grundtvig Learning Partnerships-Life Long Learning Programme, and runs from 2010 to 2012. Project partners include: Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V., Germany (Germany) Inteval Ltd., United Kingdom Slovak Refugee Council, Slovakia Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo „Danilo Dolci“, Italy Back to overview of current projects
