Active Europeans Citizenship Movement Training

The project aims to strengthen active citizenship among the youth, the elderly and migrants by improving their awareness on the EU’s current influence on national politics on the one hand, and on the other, their (target group’s) opportunities to participate in the democratic process through active participation in debates.

A training program has been developed for stakeholders working in public and private organizations, particularly those who have daily contact with the target groups who are effective channels of information. The training has three modules, wherein common European values will be discussed, among others. The modules will facilitate discussions, exchange of information, experiences and ideas among the target groups. Participation in debates through and beyond the project will be supported by the e-platform (i.e. Facebook Group) that was established under the ALL.4.EU project.

Vejle Municipality’s Special Projects Department and Vejle City Archives will implement the training modules and coordinate with local partners that include:
Vejle (Vejle Educational Centre for Adults),
Vejle Business College
Rosborg High School
Private (boarding) schools
Language Centre Vejle

The project is funded by the EU Commission, and conducted under the auspices of the Active European Citizenship program in 2009.
