Medics on the Move

Medics On the Move aims toprovide medical professionals with information they need to adequately function at the workplace -- on a professional as well as a linguistic, social and interactive level – on a mobile platform.
The target group will be presented with a contextualised language training programme which can be accessed at the required level, i.e. new content vs. remedial content, at the user’s own convenience, through a mobile platform such as: a PDA/smart phone (mobile satellite)/BlackBerry device, and PC (online stable unit), at the workplace through an easy access tool for the second language speaker. Relevant (authentic) ad innovative (but also reliable) e-learning content will be developed, as well as a multi-layered training package (oral training, performance of isolated and contextualised terms, a vocabulary reference guide with lemmata as well as carrier phrases).
