Businesspersons with Ethnic Backgrounds
The project aims help ethnic minorities to successfully start their own business.

The project focuses on identifying appropriate content and materials and developing a training program designed to improve the skills and competencies of new and prospective ethnic businesspersons. The target group will be involved in all stages of the project through focus group interviews and usability testing. By the end of the project, it is envisioned that an appropriate training program for businesspersons with another ethnic background than Danish.

Prior to its actual rollout, the project will gather the experiences of current ethnic businesspersons, and conduct training needs analysis of new and prospective ethnic business owners. The project will also draw inspiration from the experiences of other regions that have experiences with the skills upgrading of the target group.

The project runs from November 2005 to August 2007, and is being implemented in partnership with Vejle Erhvervsudvikling (Business Development Office) and Vejle Handelsskole (Business College).
